An IDrive e2 browser and file manager.
Stream Vessel lets you browse and manage IDrive e2 through a file-manager-style interface, using e2's S3-compatible API. Browse, search, upload, preview, edit and share, from a browser or a Chrome extension.
What Stream Vessel adds to IDrive e2
IDrive e2 is priced for storing a lot of data, and its web console is built for managing buckets and keys. Stream Vessel is for working with the objects inside them, and for copying between e2 and the rest of your storage.
Stream Vessel is an S3 browser and file manager for AWS S3 and every S3-compatible provider. IDrive e2 is a preset in the connection dialog.
Connection details
| Endpoint | The region endpoint shown for your bucket's region in the e2 console |
|---|---|
| Region | The e2 region of the bucket |
| Credentials | An e2 access key ID and secret access key |

- In Stream Vessel, add a connection, pick IDrive e2 (or Other with a custom endpoint) and fill in the endpoint and keys.
- Test the connection, save, and your e2 buckets appear in the explorer.

Sharing, AI access and transfers with IDrive e2
- Share IDrive e2 access without sharing keys. On Stream Vessel Cloud, share a IDrive e2 connection, bucket or folder by email at READ, WRITE or FULL, and revoke it in one click. How secure S3 sharing works.
- Give AI agents access to IDrive e2. An MCP token with a tier and an expiry lets Claude Code, Cursor or another MCP client work in your IDrive e2 buckets, with every call logged. S3 access for AI agents.
- Copy between IDrive e2 and other storage. Open IDrive e2 next to any other connection and drag or paste to copy across providers, or send files to Google Drive. Cloud storage transfers.
- Keys stay yours. In the Chrome extension your IDrive e2 keys never leave your browser. On Cloud they are encrypted with AES-256 and never shown to the people or agents you give access. Where keys are stored.
Good to know about IDrive e2
- Copy the endpoint from the console. e2 endpoints are specific to the region your bucket is in. Use the one the e2 console shows for that region; a mismatch shows up as a failed connection test.
- Per-bucket keys. An e2 access key limited to chosen buckets bounds everything built on the connection, including your shares and AI tokens.
- Large archives. Large files upload in parts with multipart upload, and bucket search pauses on long runs so you stay in control of how far it walks.
- CORS on Stream Vessel Cloud. Cloud applies the CORS rule it needs. If the CORS status shows "Invalid or N/A", add the rule by hand, see the CORS FAQ. The extension does not need CORS.
